Professional Counseling Rooted in Faith and Real‑Life Understanding

Life gets complicated, and sometimes you need someone to help you sort through the noise. I’m a Kentucky Licensed Pastoral Counselor and Certified Clinical Anxiety treatment Provider who works with teens, adults, and professionals who want a safe place to talk, think clearly, and get practical support from a Christian perspective.

My counseling style is steady, down‑to‑earth, and focused on helping you understand yourself better. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, burnout, relationship struggles, or just feeling stuck, I help you break things down, find clarity, and take meaningful steps forward.

I’ve spent years working with people in counseling, ministry, and education, and I’ve learned that everyone — no matter their age or background — needs a place where they can be honest without judgment. Teens appreciate the calm, straightforward guidance. Adults value the practical tools and clear direction. Professionals appreciate the respect for their time, responsibilities, and faith.

My goal is simple: to provide counseling that honors your Christian beliefs while giving you real‑world support. If you’re looking for a space where faith and professional care work together to help you grow, I’d be glad to walk with you.

Why I Do This Work

I became a counselor because I believe people deserve thoughtful, grounded support when life becomes overwhelming. Whether someone is navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship strain, or a season of transition, the right guidance can make all the difference.

My background in ministry and education showed me how deeply people struggle beneath the surface — even those who appear strong, capable, or successful. I do this work to offer a place where faith and professional care come together to help people grow in practical, meaningful ways.

Credentials and Background

I’m a Kentucky Licensed Pastoral Counselor with training in clinical counseling, pastoral care, Christian psychology, and temperament‑based counseling. My work is shaped by more than two decades of ministry experience and years of counseling individuals and families in Christian settings.

I currently serve as the pulpit minister for the Bethany Church of Christ in Franklin, Kentucky. I also worked for eight years in a private school setting, six of those years as the school counselor. My background in ministry and education has given me a deep understanding of how people think, grow, struggle, and heal — and how faith and mental health work together in meaningful ways.

My academic background includes a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University, a Master of Theology from the South African Theological Seminary, a Master of Arts in Ancient and Classical History from American Public University, a Master of Theological Studies from NationsUniversity, and a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling from the Theological University of America. I also hold bachelor’s degrees in theology and religious studies. I am also a graduate of the Sunset International Bible Institute.

I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Behavioral Health at Freed‑Hardeman University, a program that strengthens my ability to integrate behavioral health, clinical practice, and faith‑aligned care for teens, adults, and professionals.

In addition to my academic work, I’ve completed specialized training through the Kentuckiana Pastoral Counseling Consortium, the National Christian Counseling Association, Light University, and Barnabas Team Coaching. I am a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) and hold certifications as a Certified Temperament Pastoral Counselor and Certified Temperament Counselor through the NCCA.

Across all of these roles and experiences, one thing has remained constant: people grow when they have a safe, steady place to talk and someone who will walk with them through what’s hard. That commitment shapes every part of my counseling work today.

If you’re looking for a safe, steady place to talk through what’s going on in your life — somewhere your faith is respected and your struggles are taken seriously — I’d be honored to walk with you. When you’re ready to take the next step, reach out. You don’t have to navigate this season alone.
